Edwin was jolly yesterday..

He had lotsa work to do..

Didn't get to leave KL until it was 730.. Had bloody NEC meeting from 11am - 530pm!

but He's still in a jolly mood.. The last event for the night was back in Darulssalam (yea.. again..) Subang. Met up with some very old friends that He hasn't seen for bout 2years!..

Driving home with a smiley face, what a pleasant night out!

At about 5am this morning, his tummy ache like nobody's business.. Real real Bad!..

His alarm rang at 930.. time to go work! but he can't.. he felt cold sweat..

There it was, He's sick!.. only hours ago he was a jolly chap, now he's stranded on his bed.

Called in sick - Then went to Doc..

Doc: You got stomach Flu
Ed: Er.. okay, stomach flu..
Doc: means you have viral infections in ur stomach..
Ed: Oh.. (what the?!) I think I prefer the previous name doc..
Doc: Nothin to be worry about, Lemmi just give you "some" meds for it.. you'll cure in no time..

'some' = 5 different types of medication.. simethicone, smecta, paracetamol, etc etc..

Comes in all different sizes and types, from big pills to small pills to liquid to powder form.. Argh! Hates them all..

Apart from the meds.. In the back of his mind, he know that he still needs to finish up the abundance of paperworks still pending. He'll do it at the comfort of his own room..

Edwin doesn't feel so jolly anymore.. :(

:: all in a day's life ::

Monday - three exciting things happened..

1) Went for my exam (after studying the subject for 20+hours) in MII (M'sian Insurance Institute) for my "Certificate in Investment-Linked Life Insurance" a.k.a. CILLI.. yeah.. silly. Computerized exam, which means I will get my results on the point i click 'finish'.. Pretty scary I tell ya!.. that click was quite hard to press.. but to cut the story short.. I passed. WooHoo!

2) After the exam, I went over to gym.. going thru the Hartamas Highway, I was travelling about 100 - 120km/h cruising. Overtook many cars and one of them is a red Kenari Aero..

Then I went up towards Kerinchi Highway, after I passed the toll, the same red Kenari was in front of me again.. (no... i dun use smartag). Fine.. this time I was behind the Kenari once again, so when I tried to overtake him (yeah.. i managed to peek abit at the driver) on the left.. he suddenly swerve to the left (middle lane) and block me. I was like "Woii!.. wat the?!" at the same time my mind was thinking "HALO!.. wat's wrong wif you?!".

He then speed up and so did I.. eventually after passing the speed-check (with a long-windy left turn) there's a car in front of us and he went to the left lane and I went to the right (at the same time, I was already flooring my throttle). We met again after overtaking the middle-laned-car but this time I was already in front of him on the right lane and I noticed he's on the middle lane..

Suddenly I hear tire screeching sound.. and the sound came from my south-western position (7 o'clock).. in that split second my mind was like "Hmm.. the road is wet, how come still got screeching sound" and I know for the fact that the sound doesn't come from my car. The next split second I knew that he's in trouble..

I managed to sneak another peek at my left door mirror, whilst turning the sharp right and maintaining about 70klicks, I saw huge white smokes pillowing the street and the red Kenari hitting the wall barrier on the left side of the road!..

Amazing view.. and of course I did some soul searching looking for guilt...

Bahh!.. He started it! If you can't control our own car, don't go play around the street.. How could he never think about his own limits? Asshole.. trying to endanger the life of other people..

3) I met up with Sheau Lan and when I sent her off to KLSentral, I drove back to the same road.. indeed to confirm on what had happened, I saw the tire-screeching marks and also the marks on the wall.

Back to point no. 3, we wanted to do some catching up and we went for dinner in the Chicken Rice Shop @ Sentral. During the conversation, she stunned me by telling me that Shermae is getting married by the end of next year..

I was like.. "Shermae?".. "WoW!"

Shermae, if you're reading this.. I'd like to congratulate you here and now.. Remember to invite me for ur wedding dinner k? Am very happy for you! :)

I'd say this has been an exciting day for me.. and I hope there'll be more pleasent suprises coming along my longgg holz!..

:: Still Alive ::

Hello World..

Here I am, alive and kicking (in the air).. Sorry for the late late delay..

This hasn't been a very good weekend for myself, nothing is going the right way..
What I meant was I didn't go thru my normal regular schedule for the past two weeks.. partly due to the event I'm handling.. and also I've been (some are not voluntarily) adding more and more activities to my life..

• Insurance - Yeah.. this has accomodate my Monday evening as I've been going to their talks and am gonna take the Insurance license this coming Monday 24th
• MLM - Yup.. you've guessed it.. Multi-Level-Marketing.. Pyramid scheme thingy.. Been looking for suitable candidates to join me and make more monies.. Dun ask why, I myself has been sucked into it.. hope it works.. anyone interested in making 100k within 6 months?

But coming back to my work,

Firstly.. my boss has let go most of the duties on the upcoming event to my hand. Just like last Monday, I have to do presentation to the board of directors of BAT (it's quite unnerving for me! they're like the God in my organization, imagine this.. they're on top of the food-chain for 2000++ employees)

Secondly.. we have some new MO (Modus Operandi) on our database aquisition programme.. it seems that we need more work in getting newbies into the database. Thus, I've been spending more time hanging out wif this new bunch of young chaps from Subang. Very nice people indeed.. to add some sugar in it, I have broken my own record in conversion rate for this cycle (1 cycle is 8 weeks)..

Back to my life:-

• I've not been goin to gym for approximately 10days in a row.. gawd.. i feel like tofu now. On top of that, I think I'll quit Fitness First and join Our Gym in SS2.. why you ask? Cause I think I'd like to go to a less 'lifestyle' based gym and safe more money to on other things.. FFirst = 160/month, Our Gym = 80/month (comes with trainer)..
• My computer has not recovered it's 'flu' since the last time I sent it to fix.. (my dvd burner not recognizing dvd format and I can't burn) So I did it again.. this is the main reason why I didn't blog..
• I've not been blogging.. but you've already know the reason why..
  
• I've lost my laptop's cable (AC supply) and have to keep on borrowing my colleague's cable at the office.
  
• My laptop couldn't connect to the internet.. (another reason why I couldn't blog)..
• I'm stucked with series of Desperate Housewife..
  
• Been feeling really sleepy everyday after lunch.. I don't normally feel sleepy at that time..
• Some say it's the rainy-gloomy weather.. I have no comment..

There's so many things that I want to blog for this past few days.. There's so many photos that I wanna post up as well.. Most interesting part is the paintball event that happened last sunday and the war-scar picture..

:: Still Sore ::

Since the day that I gotten sick (monday) till today, my sore throat has been killing my day-to-day mood and speech. I become this soft-spoken (not that i'm loud..) not-so-vibrant kinda Edwin many of my friend know of.

I have tried many remedies to cure this stoopid throat of mine, I started by taking all the throat medicine the doctor threw at me - finished it at the end of Wednesday. My throat has this piercing pain everytime i tried to swallow. I change my eating habits.. no more spicy, fried, grilled or dry food. No more ice drinks (yeah.. drinkin it will cause it to inflam even more). Guess wat.. I haven't even touch a smoke since then.. (actually my first stick was today..)

I normally use my own remedy 'Pei Pa Kou' and 'gargle with salt water'.. but this time it didn't help. So, yesterday I decide to add more potent stuff to speed up the process.. I bought this antiseptic medicine frm the pharmacy - it's something like Listerine but much stronger. It's been more than one day.. I gargled it on the morning, afternoon and night since yesterday.. and yea.. it's still hurting.. sighh..

My mum actually recommended me to eat papaya.. yup the fruit.. Papaya.. according to many of my auntie's throat related problems like soreness, heatiness and etc. By eating papayas, it'll actually cures and prevent them. My mum told me about her own experience where she almost have to go for an operation, but due to her preseverance (literally 'ngang keng' - hard neck - stubborn) she decided to give papaya a go first cause operation money is not cheap.. and you guessed it.. it cured her.. results? - I ate my papaya today

I remembered on Wednesday, I called some of my friends to our regular mamak sessions.. Everyone thought I was in a depression mode.. some even called back to ask how am I doing, am I doing okay? (as in emotional factor not my physical well-being).. hmm.. I find it quite amusing. The thing is I can't really open my voice and have to be really really careful not to aggitate my throat when I speak.. yea it's tat bad..

What more, this morning I found out that my lower gum located around my wisdom tooth is red and swelling.. luckily I can still chew my food.

I swear if i'm not well on Monday onwards with papaya or not I'll have to break my wallet for that ENT specialist that I've consulted 3 times.. but I must give it to him.. no matter how serious my condition is (was) he can freaking cure all the pain and swelling within ONE day!..

Gawd.. pls let me cure by myself..

:: Sick ::

Monday morning.. 5am, woke up with sweat all over my body, my joints are hurting, can feel my eyeballs are burnin' and my throat hurts everytime I tried swallow.. Funny tho, my fingers and toes are ice-cold.

Shit!.. am down with a fever, high one that is!..

Luckily I remembered I have a strip of panadols that I bought 2 days ago (was supposed to be Angel's)..

Crawling back up to my room, was thinking why does it happen so sudden? Must be the Tom Yam Maggi that I had before my sleep. Twas very spicy..

My fever receded abit about 9 which I took another 2 panadols and had my 1st breakfast in Months! Went back to bed again.. Thinking to myself "No.. this can't be hapenning, I have gym appointment and supposed to meet up with my Ad Agency to decide on the artiste for the event!"

Drink lotsa water.. drink lotsa water.. must go see a doc when I awake later, am slightly concern about the recent Dengue fever thingy. Luckily no vomitting or purging..

Went to the doc at about 1pm, he told me its just norm fever, no dengue.. Pheww.. Gave me an MC for tomorrow, not sure I'm gonna use it. I need to be in office. Mum bought porridge, for me before taking the medication. Am very fustrated at myself.. Arghh! This is not the time to get sick!

I'm bored and I dun feel like sleeping anymore, headache.. Watched Astro till bout 230.. Finished reading 'the edge' that I bought yesterday, am updating my blog now.. I think I'd read my own tarot after this..

:: Out of Juice ::

Looking at my blog page, i know it's time to do some house-keeping-cobweb-cleanup-job. Basically It's been a busy week for me. Have to work from Monday (Sunday & Monday is my off day) till Saturday.. have to even spend half of the last Sunday preparing for Monday's stuff.

I've been given a task to head the next upcoming event that's gonna rock the Kent-party-scene on 19th November. The whole week was spent on preparing the venue and finalizin' the costs. Oddly enough, the venue that I choose happens to be my ex-office before I was in BAT.

Located in Jln Sungei Besi (yes.. it's Sungei not Sungai..) Some of you might have heard of the Volvo Showroom named Swedish Marque (pronounced as "Marked" not "Mar - Kee"). Never would have thought I'd do my events there. Luckily enough for me that my previous Boss (CY) wasn't there anymore and was replaced by a much younger chap (Hoe Lone).. which doesn't mind a smoking event in the showroom itself. If it was CY, he'd flipped!!

We haven't even got the time to choose the artiste that we're gonna invite. Artiste Mgmt : another nightmare!.. There goes my next week again..

:: Power Sunday ::

Whilst searching for some past blogs that I've made, I just realize it's been already a year I started blogging.. WooHoo!.. never would have thought I'd made it this long (laziness is the main factor here).
This simple webpage has truly changed my life in many ways that I'd never thought possible.. friends that I made here are truly irreplaceable..

I really do hope that it goes the both way for all who have visit this page of mine and see my world through my eyes as well as feelings..

Anyway, back to the topic.. Today s'pposed to be a relaxing day for me but I opted to go gym and made appointment with Mellisa (my trainer) at bout 1pm.. She had to call me and wake me up by 12noon.. Slept at bout 5am, thanks to the new PS2 game i bought:- "Juiced!"

She almost killed me today with her 'Power Pack II' program.. my whole body is aching now. Spend almost 3hrs in the gym! Krazy!!.. Was back home at bout 5pm after my late late lunch. Dloaded InitialD - part 4, episode 17 & 18. Watch it till bout 7pm.. wanted to take a nap.. at 740pm (bout 10min ago) Jason called.. yes.. woke me up..

Jason: "Hoiii...!! Wake up!.. Let's go Genting!!"
Edwin: "What thaa.... you SIAO ah!?"

after 5mins on the phone.. (knowing i dun have to work tomm.. and they have to wake up pretty early)

I'm now all dressed up..

Jason just called whilst i'm typing this.. Okay.. I'm gone..

Genting here I come..

Am still dead tired.. but I need fresh air...
..no.. not cigarettes.. FRESH AIR!
