OK, you've all got blogs, so I'm creating one of my own, to sit, unvisited and unloved, like a forgotten grandparent, collecting dust in some home and, unnoticed... So now that I'm off on the right foot...

:: MATTA ::

It was here, and it breezes by.. as quick as I could blink. Then there's my first time going to MATTA fair after all these years. The best part was, this year they charge entrance fees.. damnit.

Held at PWTC (as usual), I took the opportunity to bring my parents to the fair. Since my mum wanted to buy air-ticks to Perth to visit my sister. My dad later suggests we take the LRT instead.. which I was glad when I saw the traffic when we reached there.

It was like a big "pasar" there.. I just couldn't believe the amount of would-be-travellers/deal-scouragers in Malaysia. First part of all the time we were there was to walk thru human trafficzz which never seems to end. It reminded me the first PC fair I was in.. In distant we hear people shouting names of places, flyers and itineraries was given out so massively comparing any PC fair would have to bow down.

Firstly, I didn't plan to purchase anything there.. to me it's more like a trip of experience. Then it sorta becomes a trip filled with wants and amazements. My dad was very much interested in going back to Bali, which price ranging from 400-700 bucks (4d3n).. excluding the air fare of course. My mum was looking for ticks for Perth initially.. whilst both me and my love just trottling along for the 'fun' of it.

We went halls to halls; one after another.. then my mum sorta stopped at these particular place and sat down.. (fatigue..) Best Holiday booth. We were all looking at the same thing.. 9days Beijing/Tianjin/Chengde trip for RM1288. In summary: We bought the package and it was quite a bargain, after many bombarding questions and scrutiny and comparison.. my parents both agree that it's worth it and since we'll be able to see snow (has been my family's wish almost every trip) during January there.. why not?

:: Wazzup ::

Lately I've noticed that we don't really say "hello" or "hi" or norm greetings to people we are close to. Instead we greet them using a simple slang like "wassup?!" Of course it comes in many different ways as well.. "heyyy.. wasssupp..", "wassup bro!..", etc etc.. you get the idea..

Thru curiousity, a search thru Wikipedia concludes this:-

Whassup? was a catch phrase used in a TV/radio commercial campaign for Budweiser beer in the early 2000s. The ad campaign became wildly popular all over the world, and a full blown pop culture phenomenon. The phrase itself is an alteration of the phrase "What's up?".

Phrases like this are used most widely by guys greeting another guy. Lately though I'm experiencing more and more females are "wassup"-ing.. I use it all the time, and everytime after I verbalized it.. I'll smile deep inside knowing that it's something that we do so naturally and in essence that simple word summarizes as "How are you doing?"

Last but not least, if you haven't already notice.. we normally do it with a "secret" handshake that involves the thumb and a swiping motion of the four fingers across each other's palm.. which to my surprise it is being done in the States as well.. just watch some teen movies i.e. The O.C..

Another chapter in human evolution they say..

:: Panasonic DMC LX-2 ::

Many have asked me on the pictures that I took, it's not all skills involved (which I admit I don't have much).. It's alot to do with the camera you're using. So you ask, what camera am I using?.. The answer is what you'd guess.. a Panasonic Lumix.. but not the one I wanna tok about here.

I'm boasting about my future Panasonic Lumix here.. the Panasonic Lumix DMC LX2, successor to the LX1 (which Johnson is using), which has received high acclaim for its unique 16:9 wide CCD, plentiful functions, and smart design.

The Panasonic LX2 inherits the f/2.8 28mm wide angle LEICA DC lens, 4x optical zoom (equivalent to 28mm to 112mm on a 35mm film camera) and MEGA O.I.S. (Optical Image Stabilizer) which minimize "shaky" pictures. And to further reduce the "blurring images" the advanced image processing LSI Venus Engine III with the Intelligent ISO Control (I.I.C.) and max. ISO1600 high sensitivity recording capabilities are utilized.

10.2 Megapixels and larger 2.8 inch 16:9 wide LCD. My LX2 is unique in that it incorporates triple-“wide” features of 28 mm wide angle Leica DC lens, 16:9 wide CCD and 16:9 wide LCD. In addition, my LX2 is capable of recording wide 16:9 high definition (1280 x 720) motion image at 15 fps. Woohoo!!!.. I can definately use it to playback clearly on my future future 50' Plasma/LCD TV.

Funny thing is, they've launched this thing like almost 3-weeks ago and I still can't find it on the shelf of any camera shops in KL. After some questioning, I found out that the distributor in Malaysia haven't start distributing the supposedly "launched products" What a shame!!

Am wishing the dealers here get it soon enough.. Can't wait to get my hands on it!!!.. for RM1699 it's a steal!
