OK, you've all got blogs, so I'm creating one of my own, to sit, unvisited and unloved, like a forgotten grandparent, collecting dust in some home and, unnoticed... So now that I'm off on the right foot...

:: Humankind ::

Strollin around MPH the other day looking for some reading material.. Twas an unbelievable coincidence I've read something far more interesting than what I have read for the past 30mins in MPH.. here it goes:-

Strange is our situation here upon earth. Each of us comes for a short visit, not knowing why, yet sometimes seeming to divine a purpose. From the standpoint of daily life, however, there is one thing we do know: that man is here for the sake of other men - Albert Einstein

This is it!.. my reasoning has been backed by the most itelligent man known worldwide.. What am I saying? Click on this link.. "A Sunday Evening" a piece of blog that I did in July last year..

:: the Cars & the Owners - part 1 ::

I've been noticing this since the day I start driving. To me it is somewhat apparent that a car that are driven by the owner will somehow have "similarities", with a few to spare of course.

Similarities - noun. the state or fact of being similar

Let's start with some car that I could think of now.. hmm..

Nissan Vannette - Must be white coloured, Two front male occupant, Windows wind down, Mid-20 to 30 Chinese or Malay, Loose shabby T-shirts or company's uniform, They normally looked as if they have worked for 36hrs non-stop.. and not forgetting the sweaty oily face.

Mercedes E/S-Class, Volvo S80/XC90, BMW 5/7 series - This are cars that costs more than 250k, its practically a double-story terrace house affixed with wheels but occupancy are normally either 1 or 2 (if 2; the one driving are actually working and commonly known as "ah Mutt"). The single occupant normally situated on the left side of the rear seat. Mid 40s, White collar, reading something.. dunno what.. but something.. Most likely the owner of the car but have probably never driven it before.

Beware if you see only the uniformed driver a.k.a. "ah Mutt" in these cars. They normally drive at warp speed and will cut in and out of traffic, a danger to society when the owner is not around.

"ah Mutt" are also easily spotted cause they usually hang out in herds when not driving. Usually around 530pm onwards at some high-rise commercial building's entrance/drop-off area.

Proton Saga ala 1985 - Old retired uncles who maybe are out on our KL manic street to run errrands for either his home or his children. Most likely to hog the right lane with neck-breaking speed of 46.28km/h.

Old Volvo, Toyota & Opel from the 1800 to 1984 - almost to the like of my previous point, Old Toyota's are much likely to be driven by unties (you'll also notice that the steering column are under their chin or just right under their nose) and Opel would normally be associated to "ex-taxicab" which runs on diesel and fucked-up paint job covering their yellow-black coat. The driver are most likely the "ex-cabbie" from the 60s.

Proton Wira a.k.a MPV (Multi-Purpose Vehicle) -
M'sia's very own "accidental" MPV, the reason for this is very simple. For every Malaysian who have a driving license would have driven a Wira. The engine displacement for this car range from 1300cc to 2200cc, from NA (Normally Aspirated) to Turbo to even Supercharger, from Front-Wheel Drive to 4-Wheel-Drive and of course there's the rare Rear-Wheel-Drive version, from a 4dr Sedan to elongated 'executive' version, and the 0-100km/h ranging from 14sec to 2.5sec.

The amount of modification that can be done to the Wira would be standing at 1,425,781 types of parts for this very minute and increasing as I type on.

A true workhorse, the owners ranging from College Kids to Mothers to Young/Old Executives to a Family of 10. Seating occupancy can vary between 1 to 12pax or more.. depending on occupant flexibility. Never discriminate, as the owners would be of all ethnicity that Malaysia could gather plus some oversized foreigners in the rented Wira.

Its usage and practicallity are unmatched and unheard of, that's maybe why Proton are still making it after more than 10years.. (let's not go to the Iswara bit..) After all this fact, I yet to define a certain character that would stick to the car like the rest.

to be continued...

:: Lam's Wedding ::

22nd April - A day to be remembered, as my best buddy are about to hand over his bachelor-hood, I as his ceremonial bestman have gotten the previlege to also be the witness to his marriage to the-most-loved Anne Oh Chin Iym .

It was quite an eventful day not to mention exciting, as I have a plane to catch to KK at 2pm. The reason for this is quite simple, Lam's wedding day falls directly one day after my pre-planned KENT departmental trip to Sutera Harbour in KKinabalu.

Being Lam's best-buddy cum bestman cum witness.. I did what I think to be the best solution. Sacrifice and stay back 1day and only fly to KK to join my colleagues on the evening of the 2nd day of the trip. Well, it's the best of both world.. literally..

Here's some photo to share:-

Till death do us part..

The 'saksi-saksi'

The whole event went on smoothly in which the only hiccups was when the marriage registra person-in-charge was reading the vows. He was reading out loud when he pronounce what it seems to be the sentence '..you both are to solemnly swear..' to '..you both are to sodomly swear..' Twas a funny moment which I can never forget. So was Anne's mum when she gave me "the stare" after noticing that I was about to burst out laughing..

Trust me.. everyone in the room heard him and its funny!..

Thank god everything ended around 12noon.. and I managed to steal some time, take some pict and hang out in Bakerzin @ B'sar Village right after. My plan went on with some time buffer, but mostly thanks to my love who on this day act as my camera-gal and a more diligent time-keeper kept me on my schedule. Here's the rest of the picture tat was taken outside 'Tien Hao' temple..
